Statistics

Posted by admin last modified September 25, 2007

This keyword identifies resources that provide numeric data about a topic, usually in regards to a population of people.  Examples could be the poverty rate in a particular location, or the number of flu shots given.

Not all numeric data qualify an item for this keyword.  For example, a resource that describes the general proportion of men versus women affected by a disease would be better described as general information.  However, the number of men versus women affected by the disease within a particular location would be considered a statisitic.
